Venezuela’s El Tiempo (link in Spanish) reports that Joe Kennedy met last Friday with Nicolás Maduro and VP Delcy Rodríguez.
Apparently Joe went to canvass for more free oil for his JOE-4-Oil Citizens Energy Corporation which used to provide free heating oil to Boston-area residents under an arrangement signed by the late Hugo Chávez.
The article does not say the result of the JOE-4-Oil/Maduro meeting. Venezuela’s oil production has been plummeting to the point that the country can not pay its drillers.
How Joseph Kennedy ended up as a vulture preying on the remains of Venezuela carcass. Shameful!@Fausta https://t.co/ad3Czt65VJ

The sanctions target Venezuelan government officials and others accused of violating human rights, suppressing political opposition and committing violence against peaceful protestors.
