Sayonara, Sheikh

benedictjerusalemPope Walks Out on Hostile Islamic Judge in Jerusalem An insult, a handshake and a walk-out:

Pope Benedict XVI walked out on a toxic anti-Israeli Islamic judge at a meeting in Jerusalem on Monday night.

Taking the podium after the pope without being on the original list of speakers scheduled for the evening, Tamimi, speaking at length in Arabic, accused Israel of murdering women and children in Gaza and making Palestinians refugees, and declared Jerusalem the eternal Palestinian capital.

Following the diatribe and before the meeting was officially over, the pope exited the premises. Army Radio reported that the pope shook Tamimi’s hand before walking out.

Sheikh Taiseer al-Tamimi is head of the Palestinian Authority’s Sharia Courts.

Instapundit says it best,

Hey, you can’t have meaningful dialogue with some people. So why pretend?

Indeed.

Bob Novak’s illness, Obama’s prayer, Ahmadinejad’s “new approach”, and other links

Moe Lane has Johnny Dollar’s Place‘s Your obligatory “standard netroots reaction to news of Novak’s brain tumor” RedHot

Obama’s “private” prayer? Not quite:

Ma’ariv issued a response Sunday, saying that “Obama’s note was published in Ma’ariv and other international publications following Obama’s authorization to make the content of the note public. Obama submitted a copy of the note to media outlets when he left his hotel in Jerusalem. Moreover, since Obama is not Jewish, there is no violation of privacy as there would be for a Jewish person who places a note in the Western Wall.”

The Obama prayer scandal is a cynical fraud.

Baldilocks is Saving Obama School in Kenya, since he totally forgot them.

Obama Is Sure of Sedecim Interruptus. Robert McGuiniss examines Obama’s trip to ‘Fantasy Island’. What I want to know is, who paid for the concert, the beer and the pizza?

Steve Lonegan has filed a suit against Governor Corzine, the State of New Jersey and the Economic Development Authority, to block the sale of $3.9 Billion in EDA bonds on the grounds they are being sold without voter approval.

Brian Williams thinks Ahmadinejad “brought with him a new approach.” Blowing Israel off the map a new approach, Brian?

Taqiyya in Geneva

Could anyone possibly believe that Iran’s agreeing to meet with the six nations followed by its rejection of their demand to halt its nuclear development was anything other than a deceptive buying-of-time in its race to join the nuclear club before Israel (with or without US support) launches airstrikes against its nuclear facilities in the narrowing window of opportunity before the as-yet unknown political environment following US elections in November?

But Brian believes ‘Jad when ‘Jad says, “Don’t worry yourselves needlessly.” Bobby McFarrin couldn’t have put it better. Perhaps Brian’s been reading Doug Ross (which, by the way, reminds me of Chavez’s military. No wonder they’re buddies.)

No word from Brian regarding those mass executions.

History, Stones And The Palestinians Orwellian Dance

To deny Jewish/Christian history in Jerusalem and Israel is to deny the beliefs of Jews and Christians and to deny both the Old and New Testaments (both of which precede the birth of Mohammed and the Quran). Jews and Christian believe that it was upon Rock of Abraham was the site where the Patriarch Abraham showed his willingness to sacrifice his son, Isaac, only to be told that God demanded not sacrifice (Jihadis and shaheed wannabes, take note), but rather that he parent his beloved child and instruct that child in the ways of the Lord.
