Garcia should not have been in the country in the first place. Aren’t there laws that send him to prison for returning after being deported?

The prosecutor seems to be just as anti-Trump as the defense lawyers. Is it not possible that they both wanted him mostly acquitted, for political reasons? An alternate juror said that the jury instructions for manslaughter required that he be “brandishing” the firearm as an element of manslaughter, but the word “brandishing” was not mentioned until the jury instructions. How does a seasoned prosecutor “forget” to present an essential element of a crime? Very curious.
