I found this that Las Angeles bid for the 2024 Olympics but agreed to wait until 2028 and let Paris host 2024. LA received a concession from the IOC. Am I reading it right? LA to receive $1.8 billion from the IOC. Where does the IOC come up with that kind of money?

Look no farther than their broadcast fees and advertising sponsorship opportunities. Add to that the space the IOC creates for high level promotion of Fascist & Leftist entities and there’s a lot of cash flowing around. Why does the IOC even exist? That’s a very good question…
