If an election were close, that would mean recounting in all 50 states instead of a few states. That would be one mess. Consider the controversy over the recount in Florida in 2000. Get that multiplied 50 times.Moreover, a recount in all 50 states would give the Democrats the opportunity to find a lot of dead voters. Fraud has much more effect in close elections than in elections won by a large margin. Just ask Landslide Johnson regarding his 187 vote victory in the 1948 Democrat primary for Senate. Or Sweet Home Chicago.
