Sinaloa’s El Debate (link in Spanish) reports that Mexican Marines captured El Chapo at dawn today following a fire fight during a raid at a residence in the city of Los Mochis. One officer was wounded but is now out of danger.
An earlier report states the raid was in pursuit of Orso Ivan Gastelum Cruz, a.k.a El Cholo, alleged crime boss of the North Sinaloa area, and that there were 5 dead, six arrested.

Univision reported that a plane carrying El Chapo arrived in Mexico City by 3:45 local time.
After a 45 minute delay, Peña Nieto’s self-congratulatory speech did not touch the question of whether El Chapo be deported to the U.S.
