Joran van der Sloot arrested in death of Peruvian woman
Joran van der Sloot has been detained in the death of a Peruvian woman, according to Chilean police.
Chilean police say the Dutchman entered the country two days before Peruvian officials announced that he was the prime suspect in the death of 21-year-old Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel.
Police say Flores had been seen with the suspect the day she was killed.
The murder occurred exactly five years to the day after Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway’s disappearance in Aruba — on May 30, 2005.
Prosecutors on Aruba say van der Sloot is still their main suspect.
