As you read the article, you will see that the authors think the health care legislation was a great success for Obama. This is rather typical German thinking: the symbolism of having a law, or a treaty, or a UN is far more important than whether it works. I would like to take Merkel on my own little tour of the US and show her the little things that the German press doesn’t notice.
