Welcome, Power Line and Hot Air readers.
I commented on this earlier this week:
If true, Venezuela IS a terrorist state. It would be the minimum requirements of terrorism even dictated by the United Nations. Additionally, the links to ETA (financial and otherwise) are building. So this is not centered on the Columbia-Venezuela rift. This is larger than that.
Chavez is attempting to be for this decade what Cuba was in the 70s and 80s – a main supplier of communist rebels and terrorist groups.
Huguito, are you at it again!? ¡Te damos una paliza!
These despots never seem to learn their lesson, and seemingly never read history books.
Despots always end up either swinging from the end of a rope (Saddam — Iraq), exiled out of the country in their pajamas (Zelaya — Honduras), or exiled out of the country in their pajamas PLUS imprisoned for 40 years (Noriega — Panama).
The law of averages predicts that Hugo Chavez will end up on TV in handcuffs some day, his butt crack hanging out of an ill-fitting pair of bloomers, with a look on his face like he just got a serious whoppin’ behind the woodshed. Despots are all the same — they’re spoiled brat little bullies who grew into adulthood without ever getting a serious butt kickin’ until it was too late to reform. But it’s always fun to see the goofy looks on thier faces after reality comes crashing down — as it always does sooner or later…
¡Huguito, portáte bien o te damos una paliza te lo prometo!
