Monday night John McCormack of the Weekly Standard – who is a legitimate credentialed journalist, by the way – was thrown on to the sidewalk by someone from the Coakley campaign during a fundraiser with lobbyists in Washington, DC. Here’s the video:
That’s bad enough, but here’s a photo of state Attorney General Martha Coakley witnessing the assault and doing nothing:
William Jacobson says this photo may change the election, while Ed points to the irony,
Irony alert: it might be the man sent by the DSCC to help with “messaging.” I guess he’s on the job, huh?
It’s a message, alright.
Notice the legalistic language she used to describe the incident? What weasel…
By denying any knowledge of the incident she has also left her staffer to shoulder any of the blame. Soon they’ll the Claude Raines, “I’m shocked. Shocked,” statement. Especially since all she had to do was simply say her aide overreacted to what he thought was bullying and that she would deal with it.
The purple shirt was a nice touch. It goes with the whole union theme the dems have.
If Coakley had had the presence of mind to pull out a Taser, zap Meehan, and then call 911 for EMT assistance for McCormack she’d be coasting into the Kennedy seat right now! What a dummy.
Still coasting, sort of, but seems the wheels aren’t turning any more.
