Via Sister Toldjah,
Newsday reported,
“Let’s knock out the psychobabble,” King said in the video, which was posted by his campaign. “He was a pervert, a child molester; he was a pedophile. And to be giving this much coverage to him, day in and day out, what does it say about us as a country? I just think we’re too politically correct.”
King is exactly right. Sam Stein at the HufPo posts links to the group raising funds to oppose King, and says,
There is, it turns out, a political price to pay when you make bold statements calling out Michael Jackson for some of the nefarious moments of his personal history.
Nefarious indeed.
King is also correct in saying we should be honoring the good men and women of our country who have dedicated their lives to helping others and serving our country.
No, I’m not watching the news today. Enough of Michael Jackson.
Where, oh where is the reliquary to be built and who has the office pool concernng someone claiming that touching the casket cured her psoriasis?
Oh now come on–I mean don’t we give giant nationally televised super funerals for each one of our soliders that gives the ultimate sacrifice? Oh, we don’t? That’s weird–for a second I thought we were honoring a pedophile with giant pomp and circumstance but giving negative headlines for our military whenever they are killed in the line of duty. Surely I’m mistaken…
Only in America can someone be called a pedophile after being acquitted and dead and unable to defend himself or his name.
Peter King is a selfish ass who’s too busy calling out dead people for cheap political points than he is looking at the real women and men are hypocrites and liars to the people around them.
