UN General Assembly President: “Fidel Castro Is the Closest Thing We Have to a Saint”
UN General Assembly President Miguel D’Escoto praised Fidel Castro on World Day of Social Justice saying the Cuban tyrant is the closest thing we have to a saint.
Prensa Latina reported that, in regards to Fidel Castro, the UN official said that “rather than a hero, Fidel is what best resembles a saint in our troubled world.”
He added that the United Nations and all humanity are in debt with Fidel Castro, who has dedicated his life to promote and practice solidarity with the oppressed peoples of the world.
US-born anti-Semite and former Sandinista D’Escoto is one of Ahmadinejad’s buddies and publicly embraced him after ‘Jad’s fiery UN speech last year where Ahmadinajad quoted from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. (Here’s the whitewashed official UN bio of D’Escoto.)
Hardly surprising, then, that D’Escoto would regard mass-murderer Castro as a friend.

Welcome, Babalu readers! Please visit often.
Brain damage, senility, and syphilis is not enough of an explanation for D’Escoto’s socio-religious canonization of a monster.
Good pose, reminds me of an ancient Assyrian king, Ashurnasirpal II, who put down a rebellion in a Mesopotamian city and watched the sacking from a mound of the skulls of women and children.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read this. Am I needing new glasses? Give me a break! No wonder the UN has become a circus side show.. Do the people of Cuba and their suffering at the hands of the worst son Cuba has brought to the world not merit any respect? Will we not count come judgement day? And believe me, once the “official regime’s history of Cuba” crap is uncovered in light of the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, there will be a judgement day!
I hope that means that he has died and gone to h___!
If Fidel is going to Heaven, then I don’t want to go there”
These were the last words of Indian Chief Hatuey in Cuba before he was burned at the stake, when the Spanish Catholic priests offered him to become a catholic so he would go to heaven, he asked ,Looking at all the spanish soldiers,”Are they going to be there also?”, the priest said of course my son” So he replied then I don’t want to go to your heaven”
Miguel Descoto is running true to form. Consider what he said upon receiving the Lenin Peace Prize in 1987, while the USSR was warring in Afghanistan.
“This prize makes us Nicaraguans come into even closer contact with Lenin, that great personality of your state and of all mankind who is the passionate champion of peace.
I believe that the Soviet Union is a great torch which emits hope for the
preservation of peace on our planet. Always in the vanguard of the overall
struggle for peace, the Soviet Union has become the personification of ethical and moral norms in international relations. I admire the revolutionary principles and consistency of the foreign policy of the Communist Party of the fraternal Soviet Union.” Descoto was the talking head the Sandinista comandantes sent to con the Gringos. Descoto performed his duties very well for the Sandinistas.
