My latest post, Remembering The Prisoner is up at LadyBlog.
Wired has two interesting articles about Patrick McGoohan, R.I.P. Patrick McGoohan, The Prisoner‘s TV Visionary, and The Prisoner Reboots the Panopticon for 21st Century
American and Latin American Politics, Society, and Culture
The Prisoner has finally escaped! “Be seeing you!”
Ubercool. Even geekier than trekkies!
But McGoohan got to say one of the best lines in Braveheart in the scenes during the Battle of Falkirk(BTW, Scotland I found is littered with monuments to battles the Scots lost or how many brothers died in World War I). His character Edward I said, “Not the archers. My scouts tell me their archers are miles away and no threat to us. Arrows cost money. Use the Irish. The dead cost nothing.” Most surely apocryphal but apt nonetheless.
