Jim from Parkway Rest Stop is both a friend and a great humorist, and a brilliant blogger. Yesterday he let it rip on Dodd, and the post is a thing a of beauty:
Chris Dodd, V.I.P.
Dodd claims he had no idea that he might be getting V.I.P. treatment because he is the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, the committee that writes legislation concerning organizations like Countrywide Financial. This is a guy who received more money than any other senator from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac between 1989 and 2008. Chew on that for a minute.
He made his promise of full disclosure six months ago, but to date has not produced anything, but that will not stop him from chairing the Banking Committee.

Sen Dodd also defended himself by saying that everybody else in his neighborhood has gold leaf driveways and he didn’t realize that it wasn’t normal. But as a Grand Panjandrum of Connecticutt he opined that the gold leaf was necessary to protect the ivory trimmed wheels on his coach and eight.
Have you been wondering who is responsible for the bank crisis and the failure of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac? Every voting age American should be required to watch this video. The video is from 2004 Congressional hearings about regulating Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac. You will see Republicans pointing out problems and calling for more regulation of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac. You will see Barney Frank, Maxine Waters and other Democrats denying there is a problem and criticizing the regulators and Republicans for trying to prevent the upcoming crisis. If this video doesn’t make you ashamed to be a member of the Democratic Party, nothing will.
Proof positive that democrats are responsible for bank crisis
