And he didn’t leave out Mother Theresa, either:

Blagojevich in NBC interview compares himself to Gandhi, King and Mandela
As Dec. 9 unfolded, Blagojevich told NBC, “I thought about Mandela, Dr. King and Gandhi and tried to put some perspective to all this and that is what I am doing now.”
Blagojevich is not going to participate in his defense because he says the rules are rigged against him. He will not be in Springfield for his trial; instead he will be doing nationally televised interviews.
The governor told NBC that the state Senate trial will be so unfair, he could bring in “15 angels and 20 saints led by Mother Theresa” to testify on his behalf and “it wouldn’t matter.”
Dan Collins notices the apocalyptic overtones. Me, I think he’s just practicing for his guest appearance at The View, while working on an insanity defense.*

* When I was a student at the University of Puerto Rico one of my classmates claimed to have saved himself from a mugging by simulating an violent epileptic seizure, which scared off the mugger. Blago’s probably thinking in those terms.
Of course. The insanity defense. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that before. However, I did notice a striking similarity between Blago’s Friday press conference and the defense employed by The Otter in Animal House.
Has he begun to talk about Fluoride yet? Or ZOG, or the Masons, the Illuminati or the Carlyle Group? Or is it true he is planning on revealing that he was probed by aliens or was it the CIA yet?
I forgot to mention that throwing up on yourself is a pretty good defense too. Everyone always steps back at least a couple of feet.
Pat,
Don’t forget Karl Rove.
But the rest of the Leftworld would look at Blagojevich throwing up on Karl Rove’s shoes as either spewing truth to power or as benign as shaving cream pies in the face.
