My friend TigerHawk is matching donations to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey
Deb Smith, who runs the hilariously-named blog Jersey Bites, has organized “Jersey bloggers” — and I certainly am one — into a truly massive blogburst in support of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, which needs our help. As this moving video makes clear, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey is a vital component in the safety net for thousands of people, and it is hurting. Yes, the economy sucks and we are all trying to hang on to our own money, but this is no time to stint on the essential charities. I donated $100, and will match the next $900 of contributions from TigerHawk readers. [UPDATE: As of
8:459:159:4510:50 this morning I have already received notice of$600$1250 in contributions!Keep it up, and I’ll raise the cap on the match!I will now match contributions up to $2500!] How will I know? Well, if you contribute send me an email at tigerhawkblog *at* gmail *dot* com, or just post a comment with the amount that you contributed. Do it now! It will make you feel good.
TigerHawk will match the donations at his blog, so please go there.
