Police to do lie-detector test to alleged mugging victim

As I said last night, the only thing that would convince me that it’s not a hoax would be the video from the ATM camera.

Via Michelle Malkin, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that (emphasis added)

Police planned to administer a polygraph test to Ashley Todd, 20, because her statements about the attack conflict with evidence from the Citizens Bank ATM where she claims the incident occurred, police said.

Indeed, it looks more and more like last year’s hoax.

Follow-up post.

Hoax or not – What a sad state of affairs when the man who stood before us at the DNCC 4 years ago proclaiming that there should only be “ONE America” has now wrought upon us more division than most of us forgot and many of our youth have not witnessed in their lifetimes. I know Martin Luther King must be turning in his grave! We now have blatant racism and sexism gone viral, neighbor against neighbor, families fighting among themselves, campaigners beaten on the streets and property destroyed. Joe the plumber is reviled for asking a simple question in his own front yard and has his privacy aired as a consequence, my daughter is afraid to display a McCain yard sign for fear of being called a racist. I was assaulted for wearing a Nobama T-shirt in Denver during the DNCC.

Obama, however, can with hold information, Huffington Post can use altered photo’s, caucuses can be violated, media can be biased, arms can be twisted, Hillary and Sarah can be victimized, the election can be stolen, delegates can be reapportioned, Obama and his favorites are exempt from all scrutiny. I guess that is the ONE America he was talking about but that is not the America I want!

Our failure to interrupt Obama’s plans will in fact result in his success. The only thing that ensures him that success is OUR Failure to intercede!

I’m with betty jean. But i kinda hope Obama wins. If times go bad, he and the Dems will not have W or the Reps to kick around anymore. The buck will stop with them.

As far as the lie detector test, what if she’s determined to tell the truth?

    BettyJean:

I guess I live in a different world than you. There has never been and I hope there never to be the division in this country wrought by Bush-Cheney-Rove and their ilk. And McCain-Palin have proven they will sink to those depths. Obama has not and it speaks well to his character.

I have never been in a political debate this year where anyone even hinted racism for a not supporting Obama. I’m sorry you experienced that. You should be free to support whomever you chose. But I do disagree with you on your main point: I belive Obama to be the first presidential candidate in my lifetime to cut thru the divisions and that is why I fervently support his candidacy.

I think the divisions created by the Civil War or even the summer of 1968 might trump any supposed schisms created by this election, unless Obama gets 100% of the vote, this year. I suspect that many are simply engaging in wishful thinking if they think that the opposition, whoever they are, are simply going to roll over and play dead.

Oh Bill- where in the world have you been?
If you have not seen the rce baiting you have been under a rock or loocked in your home.
I have been out in the streets and i have been viciously attacked on several occassions both physically and verbally and called a racist. I can send you tons of emails from persons who were friends until I mentioned I was not voting for Obama- then I was immediately labeled a racist.

Furthermore- Any one who heard the question posed to Bill Clinton would have understood he was race baited and his answer was far from a racist answer.

So Bill unless you are out on the road for the past 11 months day in and day out as I am – and have walked in my shoes – you can not in all fairness call me a liar can you? If i state I was called a racist – I was!

Rachael – how can you possibly hope Obama wins? Who are his friends? What has he done FOR AMerica? What have his Friends done FOR AMerica?
Let me list his associates and you tell me what they have in common with most of us?
Let us name a few- Jeremiah Wright, ‘Tony’ Rezko, Saul Alinsky, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, Kwame, Kilpatrick, Meeks, Pfleger, Khalid Al Masour, Rashid Khalidi, Dr. Khalid Al Mansour aka Donald Warden. Farrakhan, Percy Sutton,ACORN and on and on and on.

Oh and Bill if you have not seen any race baiting or racisn take a look at this – and tell me what you call it?

What if this was a black male mannequin?
I guarantee it would be all over the news.

We are women before we are Republican or Democrat ladies. There is no place for this kind of hatred. What does this say about how our country thinks of women?
