John Boehner: “Energy security is national security.”
Clean coal, nuclear energy, produce more American oil and gas to generate revenues that would allow the federal government ot fund renewable sources.
“We’re asking for a fair up-and-down vote.”
Mike Pence: “t he American people are hurting adn the Republicans have gone every day [to Congress} of the August recess to ask for a fair and open debate.”
Thad McCotter: “The Democrats will have 15 working days over the next five months,” the Republicans want 5-day workweeks.
Michelle Buchanan: “We want people to be free from the high price of energy.”
Fred Upton: Turn the switch on from red to green.”
Tom Price: “This is the most important issue this time. We want a Bill that allows for an open process.”
Q. What is your position on raising taxes on oil companies?
Rep. Boehner: “We’re opposed to raising taxes.”
Q. How about offshore drilling?
Rep. Boehner: “We demand an vote on ‘all of the above.'”
