Officials at Amtrak say they offered to run a special train out of New Orleans that could have evacuated hundreds of residents hours before Hurricane Katrina struck – but city officials turned the offer down.

Here’s a small bit of advice:
Before a category four hurricane gets to your area, get yourself well away from its projected path, because otherwise the government (local, state, federal) won’t be able to get there soon enough to save what’s left of your sorry chimpybushhitlerhatingpseudoliberalreactionary butt. And, before you go, borrow a page from this guy, and volunteer to drive several of the needy.
