The Beeb’s using scare quotes in this morning’s article: Koran desecration report ‘wrong’. This morning’s Beeb news video report ends with “but there’ve been other claims that the Koran’s been desecrated at Guantanamo Bay, and for many muslims it is unlikely this is the end of the affair”.

As long as the Beeb can stoke the rumors with alleging many claims — without bothering to clarify by whom? for what purpose? where? — you can be sure there’ll never be an “end of the affair”.

UPDATE Arthur realizes that the Beeb can’t be bothered with the truth: BBC destroying a town in order to save its spin. As for Afghanistan, as Arhtur says, the Beeb, Newsweek, et al, are willing to go on Flushing America’s Afghan successes down the toilet
