Update on BREAKING NEWS:
This morning I posted “Join us today in front of Drumthwacket at 1:00 PM this afternoon, and let the Governor know the people of NJ want the right to vote.
Let McGreevey know he must leave immediately.
This is your chance to make your voice heard.
Drumthwacket is located at 354 Stockton Street (Route 206), in downtown Princeton. See you today at 1PM.”
Update Several friends improvised a protest across the street from Durmthwacket — bringing the kids along — and the TV cameras showed up. We’ll be on Channel 3 KYW (Philadelphia CBS), Channel 6 WPVI (Philadelphia ABC), NJN (NJ PBS), and channel 16 WNYW. The reporters were definitely interested (including one who kept asking if we were all Republicans. No, this is a non-partisan issue for us, thank you, was the answer I gave) (I won’t be on his broadcast, for sure). Several interviews and lots of shots of us demonstrators later, we all were very pleased. We had a great time, and the feedback from the ongoing car traffic was terrific, dozens of cars and trucks honking, waving, and giving the “thumbs up”. In all, a great experience.
