Roger on Wilson/Plame, and on the Klebnikov murder
The excellent Roger L. Simon comments on the MainStream Media’s coverage of the Wilson/Plame story,
Now let me get this straight before people start taking off on the “liberal media.” These newspapers are no longer liberal, at least the way I would define the word. A true liberal opposes fascism with the very fabric of his soul. These people oppose Bush with the very fabric of theirs – far more important to them, it seems, than the possession of uranium by totalitarians. There’s no greater indication of that than their gullible coverage of the Wilson/Plame affair – pathetic as it was.
(and, by the way, Iraq was seeking uranium in Africa, which ought to be page 1 news, too, but you wouldn’t know it from looking at the dead-tree newspapers).
On the Klebnikov murder, (which I mentioned yesterday), Roger also notes that Klebnikov was the author of the Forbes Millionaire Mullahs cover article a year ago. Additionally, Mr. Klebnikov’s second book, Conversation With a Barbarian, dealt with organized crime in Russia’s continuing war in Chechnya.
Who murdered Klebnikov?
