Late on a Saturday night during a holiday weekend, Van Jones, the Communist truther who was named as “Green jobs Czar” quit:
Notice how the WaPo headline frames the resignation as “controversy”, White House Adviser Van Jones Resigns Amid Controversy Over Past Activism, quoting him extensively,
“On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me,” Jones, special adviser for green jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, said in a statement announcing his resignation just after midnight Saturday. “They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.”
“The bombs the government drops in Iraq are the bombs that blew up in New York City. The US cannot bomb its way out of this one. Safety at home requires justice abroad.”
And, not to be missed, the Green Jobs Czar actually believed that, “The white polluters and the white environmentalists are essentially steering poison into the people of color’s communities because they don’t have the racial justice frame.” You don’t believe me? If Obama throws Jones under the bus, the Leader’s minions will depict it as a sop to right-wing hatemongers, and Jones will walk away with a platinum Victimhood Card, immediately redeemable for a six-figure book contract.
Looking at the WaPo headline, that’s well on its way.
As late as Friday, as the Jones matter began to boil over, it had not been reported at all in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the evening newscasts of ABC, CBS, and NBC. Although the Post and CBS went on to report the Jones story on Saturday, the Times did not inform its readers about the Jones matter until after Jones resigned.
Oh btw the mural behind el jefe tells us what he thinks of white folks. Is that the white reaper holding a writ of war on youth of color while clasping a ball and chain to his wrist?

Take a closer look at the mural and you’ll be bowled over. The painting has mages of African-American and Latinos in the center, with a white cop shooting a Latino woman with her baby on one side, and a white guy in a suit on the other side with a sign that says “war on youth” holding an African American kid in chains.
