Speaking of tectonic templates Massachusetts has provided for the nation, happy Patriots Day. Today, we mark the day in 1775 when Americans took up arms against their king, and bled, at the crack of terrible dawn.

It’s the Massachusetts & Maine-only holiday that should be a national one. Want to score some electoral points, Obama? Make it one, as part of your ongoing efforts to distance yourself from … yourself.

Sam Adams brewmaster Jim Koch, who likes to talk about how beer wet the whistles of American patriots, is making a national Patriots Day his new cause. Boston Herald. I’ll hoist one to that. No Fourth of July without Patriots Day.

    Sam Adams is a dead white male. Unless you can pull out of closet,he doesn’t qualify for a holiday.
