    If the bank seizures spread to some of the bigger banks and the ex-im banks then that might be worrisome, for the Venezuelans, but outside investors appear confident that will not happen. Soc Gen just announced recently that it was providing a small line of credit to PDVSA on a trial basis.

    But so far the bank seizures have been aimed at some current and former allies of Chavez. It might just be that a power struggle is going on and that Chavez may not have control over who is punished.
