Say no to the bow

Why is the President of the United States bowing to foreign dignitaries?
How low will he go? Obama gives Japan’s Emperor Akihito a wow bow
Democrat president Barack Obama bows to Japan’s Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko 11-09How low will the new American president go for the world’s royalty?
This photo will get Democrat President Obama a lot of approving nods in Japan this weekend, especially among the older generation of Japanese who still pay attention to the royal family living in its downtown castle. Very low bows like this are a sign of great respect and deference to a superior.
Then there’s the Saudi king,

Ridiculous.
And we’re supposed to believe this is smart diplomacy?

Yes bowing is not a sign of respect. On the other nacel, the salute is a sign of respect. Note the dim one, b/k/a Barack Obama, does not like to salute.

Honestly, you’re all ethnocentric fools if you can’t comprehend that bowing is a sign of respect in Japanese culture. You bow to your elders, you bow to people of higher rank, etc; it is a sign of respect, and he should not be criticized for having enough intelligence to know how to respect the culture of foreign leaders. It’s not a sign of weakness, or a sign that our country is below theirs, or anything of the sort, it’s just polite.
