What happens when you think with your feet

Watch this stuff at the risk of losing a neuron or two:

Go Barefoot for Gaia

In the following BBC clip, lifted from today’s ephemera, the sculptor and artistic luminary Antony Gormley shares his wisdom on matters ecological. “Dispense with your socks,” says he. “This is a time of global warming. Through our feet we can begin to feel it.” This is no doubt because “our feet connect with our brains” and “engage with time.” And what’s more, “through our feet we can begin to be one people, standing through gravity on one Earth.” Yes, standing through gravity, united in our socklessness. Go barefoot for Gaia, people. It’s “an act of solidarity.”

Let’s hope Gaia doesn’t tango barefoot or she’s going to head to the emergency room after her first beginner lesson.

It’s too cold to go barefoot. What a loon!

Obviously he doesn’t live in Colorado. Or perhaps he does!

When on my high school cross country team, I ran barefoot once- and cut my foot on a piece of glass.

TX and going barefoot in summer do not go well together. If your feet won’t get blistered from the 120 pavement, you will get attacked by fire ants while walking on grass.

I am much more inclined to go barefoot in winter than in summer, for the above reason.

Wooow, maaaan. Sooo groovy. This Brother Gormley cat is in tune with the Universe, maaan. I’ll bet he doesn’t even bogart joints either, maaaan, except maybe when he gets lost in such deep thoughts, maaan.

That’s a unique way of communicating–foot to foot. But his feet must be awfully dirty.

He’s got a great point, but must take advantages in technology and hygiene into consideration.
