How a life ends

The Stupak amendment:

Over in Washington, DC,
Senior Democrat is ‘confident’ that Stupak amendment will be stripped

A House Democratic leader said Monday she’s “confident” controversial language on abortion will be stripped from a final healthcare bill.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), the Democrats’ chief deputy whip in the House, said that she and other pro-abortion rights lawmakers would work to strip the amendment included in the House health bill that bars federal funding from going to subsidize abortions.

Sixty-four Democrats voted for Stupak’s amendment, without which the House healthcare bill would not have won final passage in a 220-215 vote.

Stupak’s language not only prohibits abortion coverage in the public insurance option included in the House bill. It would also prevent private plans from offering coverage for abortion services if they accept people who are receiving government subsidies.

HOW A LIFE ENDS:

What happens during an ultrasound-guided abortion (Via SondraK, who posted the above photo.):

JOHNSON: Well, I was called into the room to assist during a procedure. And it was actually an ultrasound-guided abortion procedure, which is not that common in Planned Parenthood health centers because it’s a longer type of abortion procedure, and Planned Parenthood centers are trying to do as many procedures a day as they can, and so they’re not going to take a lot of time for each procedure. But for whatever reason, this physician did decide to do an ultrasound-guided procedure on this particular woman. And so, I was called in to help. And my job was to hold the ultrasound probe on this woman’s abdomen so that the physician could actually see the uterus on the ultrasound screen. And when I looked at the screen, I saw a baby on the screen. And she was about 13 weeks pregnant at the time. And I saw a full side profile. So I saw face to feet on the ultrasound machine. And I saw the probe going into the woman’s uterus. And at that moment, I saw the baby moving and trying to get away from the probe.

HUCKABEE: Moving away from it, oh, my God.

JOHNSON: Yes. And I thought, “It’s fighting for its life.” And I thought, “It’s life, I mean, it’s alive.”

HUCKABEE: Until that moment, Abby, had it appeared to you that you were able to use words like “fetus” and “tissue,” it’s very different than when you saw the form of a child, recognizable.

JOHNSON: That it was alive. Mm-hmm.

HUCKABEE: What did you do? Did you say anything at that moment to the doctor?

JOHNSON: No, I mean, my mind was racing, my heart was beating so fast. And I just was thinking, “Oh, my gosh, make it stop.” And then, all of a sudden, I mean, it was just over, just, in the blink of an eye. And I just saw the, I just saw the baby just literally, just crumble, and it was over. And I just, I dropped the ultrasound probe. And then I realized, “Oh, my gosh, I’m not holding the ultrasound probe,” so I scrambled and I put the ultrasound probe back in place. And I, so many things were going through my mind, and I was thinking about my daughter who’s three, and I was thinking about the ultrasound I had of her, and I was thinking of just how perfect that ultrasound was when she was 12 weeks in the womb. And I was just thinking, “What am I doing? What am I doing here?” And I could just, I had one hand on this woman’s, on this woman’s belly, and I was thinking, “There was life in here, and now there’s not,” and-

HUCKABEE: You literally were holding your hand on top of her, on top of her belly at that point-

JOHNSON: Mm-hmm.

HUCKABEE: -and realized that what was underneath that hand once a moment ago was life and it’s gone?

JOHNSON: Mm-hmm.

HUCKABEE My gosh. When you were faced with that – by the way, did the woman see any of this? Did she have access to see the screen at all?

JOHNSON: No, she was sedated.

HUCKABEE: People never see really what’s happening to them.

JOHNSON: No.

HUCKABEE: I can’t help but believe if they saw that they might be running out of those clinics.

JOHNSON: Yeah, absolutely. If clinic workers saw what was happening on that screen, they would be running out of those clinics. This is what the abortion industry does not want their workers to see. They don’t want their workers to see what’s actually happening during an abortion. That’s why Planned Parenthood doesn’t do, that’s why so many of these large abortion industries don’t do ultrasound-guided abortion procedures. They don’t want people to see what’s really happening in the woman’s womb.

Jill Stanek posted the video of the interview of Abby Johnson, former director for Planned Parenthood:

The baby Johnson was talking about was thirteen weeks. Here’s a baby at sixteen weeks:

If you still do not believe abortion ends a human life, I urge you to watch The Silent Scream. It shows the murder of an 11-week old baby. The movie is narrated by the former director of the largest abortion clinic in the Western world.

YouTube version below the fold:

Before you watch the film, please read the warning at The Silent Scream website:

WARNING: THIS WEBSITE GRAPHICALLY SHOWS AN ABORTION 11 WEEKS AFTER CONCEPTION AND THEREFORE SHOULD NOT BE VIEWED BY CHILDREN.

IF YOU ARE A YOUNG PERSON AND HAVE ANY DOUBTS ON WHETHER YOU SHOULD VIEW THIS SITE OR NOT, PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR PARENTS BEFORE PROCEEDING ANY FURTHER.

IF YOU ARE RESEARCHING THE TOPIC OF ABORTION OR POSSIBLY CONTEMPLATING AN ABORTION WE URGE YOU TO VIEW THE SITE SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING.

WE BELIEVE THAT ABORTION IS THE TAKING OF AN INNOCENT LIFE AND VIOLATES GOD’S COMMANDMENT “THOU SHALT NOT KILL” . SO PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO STUDY, THINK ABOUT, AND PRAY ABOUT ABORTION AND ITS EFFECT ON THE BABY SLEEPING IN IT’S MOTHER’S WOMB.

PLEASE, IF YOU THINK YOU ARE PREGNANT OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO MIGHT BE PREGNANT. CONTACT WWW.LIFECALL.ORG FOR ASSISTANCE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER.

You can watch the movie here

Here is the YouTube version: AGAIN, YOU ARE WARNED THAT THIS FILM SHOWS AN ABORTION BEING PERFORMED. IT ALSO SHOWS THE DEAD BODIES OF THE ABORTED BABIES. The film was made in the 1980s so the ultrasound pictures are nowhere near as clear as the 3-D ultrasound imagery available today. Still, the film is very graphic.

Forty million abortions in this country alone in the last 26 years.

God forgive us.

    > If you still do not believe abortion ends a human life,

A human life is more than a form. Is a quadriplegic not a human because he doesn’t have a body and four limbs?

A human life is more than DNA. I can graft human DNA into a tomato. Does that make a tomato human?

A human is a human MIND. A human BRAIN. A human’s THOUGHTS. A capacity for understanding and comprehension and empathy, and, probably greatest, a capacity for time-binding.

A fetus at that stage of development can no more have ANY of those than a cat can, because it’s got less brain matter.

In no sense are the FACTS there to support the claim. This crap is just as much an appeal to emotion as any liberal twit moron attempting to argue for global warming.

Unless and until you’ve got proof of a soul, the effort to claim there is any rational basis for dictating to others what they must choose in this situation is utterly unjustified. You want to convince people it’s alive, that’s one thing. Trying to force anyone to accept the proposition is just as wrong as ramming Global Warming down everyone’s throats — and yes, that’s a valid assertion/connection, since “if they are correct” then it means a lot of lives hang in the balance.

I worked in an abortion clinic. I was not part of the medical staff, I was in the business end of it. The medical staff invited me to witness a procedure anytime I wanted, but I refused. I saw an awful lot from that window desk. I saw women looking like daggers had been thrust into their hearts, leading their smirking teenaged daughters into the clinic for a first-tri procedure. Little did those teenaged daughters know that the procedure is not over in 5 minutes, nor is it painless. Trust me when I say that the smirk they wore going into the procedure room was soon replaced by expressions of horror, pain and a lot of tears. Their mothers suffered in advance.

Objectifying the human child is the first thing that takes place in an abortion clinic. It’s not a human child anymore, it’s a ‘product of conception’. Graft your DNA onto a tomato if you want, but it’s not a tomato being carried in that womb, it’s a human child, and all the potential of life is there, just waiting to be given a chance to bloom. You don’t abort a tomato, or a cat, or a puppy, you abort a child. You can reduce humanity to a formulation of cells, call it by another name, whatever you like , but it changes NOTHING. What is inside that womb is a human child, whose chance to live is superceded by someone who has gotten that chance. Is that fair?

We continue to sacrifice our unborn children on the altar of our convenience and then have the incredible dullness of mind to wonder why our living children are killing each other in the schools, why other children are savagely beaten and tortured by their own parents, why animals are treated so cruelly?

We murder and torment the least defenseless among us, yet we still bemoan the violence in society, in the media, in the home and workplace?

And if abortion is not murder, then tell me why Scott Peterson was facing charges of murdering his unborn son.

Why use cat for measurement? Why not use chimp?

Using chimp mean we can clean up the society of the mentally challenged and people who are in comma.

Oh great, I guess we should not put people in jail for murder until we got proof of a soul then.
