As you know, the Obama administration revoked Pres. Roberto Micheletti’s diplomatic and tourist visas, so next week Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Muamar Gadafi will be able to get into the USA and visit the UN but Micheletti won’t.

You may also remember that the State Department also announced that the US will not recognize the upcoming November election in Honduras. Eric Farnsworth, writing at the CSM, writes that by doing so, the US deepened the crisis in Honduras.

I always thought that some leaders, even though pariahs, could always travel with UN visas such as Castro in the 60’s and Mugabe just a few years ago?
