Chávez: Israeli Foreign Minister “a thug”, claims Colombia is ready to attack Venezuela

Hugo Chávez calls Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of Israel Avigdor Lieberman “a thug, a thief, a murderer.”

And if that weren’t enough, he accuses the US of instigating Colombia to start a war with Venezuela. Chávez doesn’t want Colombia to allow the US the use of seven Colombian military installations for counter-drug operations.

During his latest Alo Presidente show, he let it rip:

(My translation: if you use this, please credit me and link to this post)
Chavez started by saying, “The Iranians are here, but not in the way the Yankees and the Israeli chancellor say, who is a thug, a thug, a punk, a thief, and one of those extreme-right lunatics, eh, who see an Arab and they want to kill him, no matter if it’s a child or a woman, they see a Palestinian and they want to chop them into pieces. Eh? So he showed up saying, through Latin America, that here in Venezuela we have Hezbollah terrorist cells, and then the vice-president of Colombia, this folkloric gentleman who goes around the world saying any idiocy he can think of, I don’t know.”

He then goes on to rip into the Colombians, but continues, “[Lieberman] said that they are preparing the attack in La Guajira. This is very dangerous. Uribe’s government attacked Ecuador and bombed Ecuatorian territory [smiling], they went in, took out a few dead, left some wounded women, did everything they felt like and tried to fool Ecuador and the world. They did it here. They came in and kidnapped from Caracas’s streets Granda, the FARC’s chancellor, violating all principles of respect, law, ethics, and transparency. I’d never think of doing that, and I’ll never do it.

“Colombia says that what the Israeli chancellor said is true. How irresponsible! They’re playing with fire! The Colombian vice-president says that there are terrorist cells in the Venezuelan countryside . Oh, well, that’s preparing the groundwork so that at any moment they’ll attack Venezuelan territory. And I’d find myself forced to defend myself. I’d be forced to, I wouldn’t stay with crossed arms. It would be war, then. God save us from war!

“But it doesn’t depend on us. It’s not even on Colombia’s hands. It’s in the hands of the Yankee empire. But Colombia, Colombia, Colombia, the Colombia we love must realize that the imperialistic empire is using its territory to plan a war against Venezuela. Colombians, realize that it’s madness.

“Well, we go ahead with our love, our passion, building the Venezuela of peace that opens its arms to the whole world. But one must alert on this danger that we have next door.”

I have noticed that in the past when Chavez is having a tough time he gets wild and crazy. Could it be since he is losing in the Honduras situation and all of the shortages in Venezuela he is trying to divert people’s attention.

Why aren’t people making more of a protest about the shortages? Haven’t they had enough?

With our thug in chief (obama) I would be leary of having U.S. military based in Columbia. Didn’t obama threaten to use our military against Honduras when it was upholding its Constitution?

One time I was staying with my Maya friends up on the Macaw river. I woke up about 3 am to what sounded like dragons fighting(really load. Turns out there was a group of howlers in a large cave up on the mountian. Man it scaired the hell out of me, just like the howling coming out of that communist dictator’s mouth. Who can say for sure that he doesn’t already have nuclear arm’s. I live in Miami, WAY too close to his ranting and raving.
