Video: Vile Letterman, “these people are upset”
Referring to Sarah and Todd Palin as “these people,” Letterman digs in and repeats the jokes,
David Letterman responds to flap over Sarah Palin jokes
“We were, as we often do, making jokes about people in the news and we made some jokes about Sarah Palin and her daughter [Bristol]… and now they’re upset with me…” Letterman says on tonight’s show. “These are not jokes made about her 14-year-old daughter. I would never, never make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl…. Am I guilty of poor taste? Yes. Did I suggest that it was okay for her 14-year-old daughter to be having promiscuous sex? No.” Saying he hopes he’s “cleared part of this up,” Letterman extended an invitation to Palin to come on the show as a guest.
Then he asked,
“would I do anything advocate or contribute to underage sexual abuse or misconduct? Absolutely not, not in a thousand years!”
But is he all for “advocating or contributing” to the sexual abuse of women over the age of eighteen.
So here we have it: Letterman believes himself justified in his “jokes”, because the jokes are about a different Palin teenager.
As I was asking yesterday, what is it with these impotent jerks and Palin’s children?
And, by the way,

I guess you answered yourself there.

Add this incident to the “Hate-Rape” article (Playboy) on Conservative women last week, and consider the response (zero) of the so-called feminists to both of these and you have a good picture of how “liberal” America feels about the other half. Some hate, some crimes, are OK if done against certain people.

Dave’s always had trouble living up to the responsibilities of manhood. What takes the average guy little time to consider & do takes Dave years. I’m sure he’ll apologize in a memoir twenty years from now.

Lets say it more clearly….Dave Letterman is a fxxxking jerk….as a father of a young daughter i personally would like to punch him in the face and wipe the stupid smile off of him…..when did this become tolerable and why is he on TV still?

[...] Via Fausta, David clarified that he didn’t mean to imply that Willow Palin, 14, was a slut, but that Bristol Palin, 18, was a slut. Because, you know, all unwed mothers are sluts, except for his wife. Especially if their moms look hot in a skirt. [...]

Isn’t it funny how he never mentioned that the daughter who actually went to NYC was the 14-year-old, which makes Sarah and Todd’s reaction the logical one? No, he’s making it look like they just made up that part.
But let’s take Dave at his word; he was talking about the 18-year-old daughter (who is back home in Alaska) and he didn’t know it was really the 14-year-old in NYC. Compare this situation to MSNBC’s David Shuster last February talking about the Clintons pimping out Chelsea.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s Daylight Saving Time or not, it’s always Double Standard Time.

Letterman: I Was Taking About The 18-Year-Old…
Letterman responding to the reactions of Todd and Sarah Palin regarding his jokes about Willow. He tried to defend himself. Oh well, the joke was about Bristol Palin, not Willow you see. Then that’s just ok then. The problem is that…

Letterman deserves the Don Imus treatment (at least) after his comments about Palin’s kids. That his show continues without a formal apology or reprimand from producers proves acceptance of the mainstream media’s bias promotes bias in race relations and makes it acceptable to smear kids if their parents are vocal conservatives. Don Imus’ life turned into a major hell and he lost his job for a lot less.

dave has repeatedly championed the liberal mantra of retoric on the late show since coming to the CBS network and i assume is the same opinion CBS directs all employees are directed to take!which in my opinion is taking a liberal stance on a supposedly comedy show,he has no problem trying to dis-credit ex-president G.W.BUSH’ service to our country when he served no time in the service to our country!so in my opion his is not comedy but a politacal agenda that should not be confused with comedy.also attacting familes of conservatis because they are net liberals!!

Yes, all unwed mothers are SLUTS. And may be called so. Their children are bastards. Do not sugar coat what the tramp is because you want her mother to be President.

Shall we asume you remained a virgin until marriage, Colleen?

“Yes, all unwed mothers are SLUTS. And may be called so. Their children are bastards. Do not sugar coat what the tramp is because you want her mother to be President.”
I take it you voted for Obama.
June 11th, 2009 at 4:19 pm
Colleen Kay, by your twisted logic, then, Obama’s unwed, pregnant mother was a slut too.
Letterman’s plea of ignorance just does not wash as an apology. He’s trying to worm his way out of his perverted joke, but it just makes him look all the more stupid and misogynistic, since according to him it’s okay to attack an 18-year-old girl, rather than a 14-year old girl.

Colleen Kay:
Would you care to make any moral judgments on David Letterman’s bastard child?
David Letterman is a jerk and you are a bigger jerk.

Wow Colleen, that is an extremely self-righteous statement. How dare you state that “all unwed mothers are sluts”.
Let me be clear, there are girls who have ended up pregnant because they have been raped… and not on a date rape. These girls are not sluts. Allowing the baby to be born does not make them into sluts.
A slut is a woman or girl who sleeps around with different dates every night or every other night…. It would be fair to state that a prostitute is a slut. I will grant that situation. However, there are plenty of young women who are in permanent relationships who are not married and they have children. They are not sluts.
Even if I am prepared to make the above statement, there is no way that I am going to judge the circumstances of any unwed mother, and you do not have the right to judge unmarried mothers in that way either.
For the record there are unwed mothers in my family. My late sister was one of them. She was not a slut. Neither are any of my nieces or other family members.
Also for the record, if you consider all unmarried mothers to be sluts then that means that Barrack Obama’s mother was nothing more than a slut.

When I am surfing my TV channels and come across Jerry Springer I just keep on flipping…same with Letterman. I have better things to do.
June 12th, 2009 at 4:16 pm
Dave, the next time you have a heart attack, better hope none of the physicians are wives, mothers or fathers. And, better think twice before boarding an aircraft with all those “slutty” flight attendants.

The fact that people watch Letterman or Conan in the first place tells us more about their intellect than does their reaction to what were actually quite funny jokes. No doubt these are the same people whose parents resented Groucho Marx. All of you need to grow up.

A remark like Letterman’s is disgusting and a disgrace to men. Letterman is about Letterman and ratings. His employer must approve of his remarks because there was no refuting or apology for what he said. Who would want to support such a disgusting low-life by watching his television show.
