He was also one of the producers, writers and directors, along with his three sons, of SG-1. And he gave Burt Reynolds a soapy back and front rub in the shower scene from The Silent Movie.
I once saw Mr. Deluise on TV tell a story of his childhood. Apparently, in a pre-childhood obesity age, he had a set-to with one of his neighborhood acquaintances and went home to his grandmother in tears. She told him, “Dommy, no cry Dommy; have a meatball.” He was just such a human being, I hope he saved something for the end.

I remember seeing that skit live. I laughed just as hard 35+ (?) years later as I did then. Thanks for the memories!
