Pure stupidity, this government’s logic — or lack thereof. Mexico is our 3rd-largest trading partner, with 75,000 trucks going between the two countries daily. Is our pop star Pres trying to effectively stiff one of our most important trading partners? Not a wise move, particularly when the strategic partnership between the two will need to be greater enhanced in light of the escalating violence.

Who the heck is running this administration?!

Most of the trucks that are coming legally across the border are actually American owned companies that saw an opportunity to extend the ability of their own trucks or rather Mexican trucks to penetrate deeper into Mexico and bring goods into the US. What they didn’t count on was the hysteria of supposedly unsafe Mexican licensed trucks being unable to go as far north or east or west as orignally envisioned.

Of the trucks that meet US safety requirements some 80% are owned by American and in some cases Chinese shipping companies but doing business in Mexico with a Mexican corporate front.
