Argentina: I say tomato, you say tomahtoh

but either way, Cristina doesn’t want you to have any:

Argentines told not to eat tomatoes
Officials in Argentina ask consumers to eat fewer tomatoes because of an expected seasonal shortage of the crop.

The news comes as a further challenge to Argentine cooks who are still suffering from a flour shortage and higher bread prices that were triggered by one of the worst wheat harvests in Argentina’s history.

Much to my surprise, there is very little variety of produce in Buenos Aires, especially if you compare it to their neighbors to the north, so this is really hurting.
