They would never try to kill the Saudi Ambassador. Cartel is very low profile north of the border. Quds Force figured that they had nothing to lose by taking a long shot.

Zetas would not take on Hezbollah opium. Opium requires seperate distribution which they do not have.

Lebanese immigrants have made quite an impact in latin america – Shakira, Salma Hayek and several Presidents.

Early immigrants were Christian. More recent arrivals particularly in Venezuela are moslem. Anytime you have moslems coming in it is not good. When they have numbers on their side, they step on you.

Latin America however is not France, and the people might just stand for themselves. Also latins tend to absorb other immigrants. This irish boy grew up w/ mexicans and was largely absorbed by mexican american culture down to my praying hands w/rosary beads tattoo which I totally regret.

Sorry to bring in a littel bit of low culture, but it is all I got.
